Aluminum Intel iMac SD Slot LocationStarting with the glass panel unibody aluminum iMac desktop computers, Apple started including an SDHC card slot on the right-hand side of the machines located just below the SuperDrive CD/DVD burner opening.
Later models revised the slot to support SDXC - (e)Xtended Capacity cards up to 1 Terabyte. So the model / year of your iMac system will determine if it’s SD and SDHC compatible, or if it’s a later model that also supports SDXC as well.
